San Bernardino, CA was the place of my birth and I was raised by a devout single mother. At the age of 9 we moved to Auburn, WA where I completed my school years. After attending Community College for a couple of years, I went off to college at WSU. It was in Pullman where I became a devoted follower of Christ. After finishing my degree, I stayed on with our church, Living Faith Fellowship, and engaged in campus ministry for the next 10+ years. During that time, I married my sweetheart Audrey and together had our first two children. After much prayer we moved to Vancouver, WA in 2008 so I could attend Western Seminary in Portland. On the last day of that year our youngest child was born. Western was a great place to study. And in 2014 I finished with two master’s degrees – one in biblical and theological studies and the other a post-graduate degree in theology. I currently serve as both Director of Admissions at Western and pastor of Mount Hood Christian Center in Gresham, OR.
Some of the things I enjoy is listening to music, reading good books, hanging out with my family, enjoying good conversation, and rooting for the Seattle Seahawks.
Thank you for stopping by and getting acquainted. I hope you enjoy some of the content on my site. I’m a big proponent of bringing together the life of the mind and heart. Hence, the name Convergence. So my intent is to write on topics that promote both intellectual pursuit, and a full engagement of the heart.
All for the glory of Jesus!
