The Prayers of Paul

paulteachingJust got done with a four-week study on four prayers of Paul. It was very rich. Each of these prayers were but one sentence long, but Paul sure knew how to pack a punch. And since these prayers are apart of Scripture, they are inspired by God and perfectly according to His will. And if He wants His will, and we want His will, what’s stopping us from having His will?

So listed below are 4 powerful prayers. They are not word for word (although they are in many places), but adaptions, made ready for use. Let’s gets to work and pray for our families, friends, and communities. And, by all means, pray these prayers over yourself!

Heavenly Father,

I pray that You would open her eyes that she may know

what is the hope to which she is called

what are the riches of her glorious inheritance in the saint

and what is the immeasurable greatness of Your power

–based upon Ephesians 1:16-19

Heavenly Father,

I pray that You would strengthen his faith

So that he would comprehend the love of Christ

For the purpose of being filled up with God

–based upon Ephesians 3:14-19

Heavenly Father,

I pray that their love would abound

right along with knowledge and all discernment

so that they may only approve of what is excellent

and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ

filled with the fruit of righteousness

that only comes through Jesus Christ

to the glory and praise of Your great name

–based upon Philippians 1:9-11

Heavenly Father,

I pray that I will be filled with the knowledge of Your will

so I can be fully pleasing to You

bearing fruit in every good work

and increasing in my knowledge of You

being strengthened with all your power– for endurance and patience with joy

and giving You thanks

for qualifying me to share in the inheritance of the saints in light

–based upon Colossians 1:9-14
